This 4-day mid-luxury safari offers a perfect blend of scenic beauty, wildlife adventure, and cultural immersion across two of Kenya’s most captivating destinations—Lake Naivasha and the Masai Mara. Your journey begins with a relaxing stay at the tranquil shores of Lake Naivasha, where you can unwind and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the Great Rift Valley. The scenic drive through the escarpments sets the tone for what’s to come—an enriching safari filled with breathtaking views, luxurious comfort, and unforgettable experiences.
As you continue to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, you’ll dive into thrilling game drives in search of the Big Five and, if lucky, witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration. From dawn safaris to sunset fireside reflections, every moment in the Mara is filled with wonder.
You'll be picked up from J.K.I.A or Nairobi Hotel, and begin your drive towards Naivasha. Along the way, you will have a stopover at the great Rift Valley viewpoint and enjoy picturesque views of the Great Escarpment. Upon arrival at Lake Naivasha, you'll check into your lodge and enjoy lunch.
You'll take the rest of the afternoon off as you enjoy the facilities at the resort.
After breakfast, you'll check out of the resort and begin your journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve (approx. 4-5 hours, 280 km). The drive takes you through the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley, offering stunning views of the valley and surrounding hills. On arrival at the Masai Mara, you'll check into your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, you'll embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara, one of Africa's top wildlife destinations. The Mara is famous for its Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) and abundant predators such as cheetahs and hyenas. Depending on the season, you may also witness the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River in search of fresh grazing grounds.
After the game drive, you'll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After a satisfying breakfast, you have the option to embark on an early morning game drive or relax at camp and soak in the tranquil atmosphere. If you choose to go on a game drive, this early morning excursion is often the best time to spot predators and witness the awakening of the savannah.
You'll return to camp for a nourishing lunch before preparing for an enriching visit to a nearby Maasai village. This cultural experience provides a unique opportunity to learn about the traditions, customs, and daily life of the Maasai people. You'll engage with the locals, witness traditional dances, and gain insight into their vibrant culture—an experience that truly enhances your understanding of the region.
After the village visit, you'll return to camp for dinner. You'll enjoy the warmth of the campfire as you gather with fellow travelers, sharing reflections on your cultural experience and the incredible wildlife you’ve encountered.
On your final day in the Masai Mara, you'll enjoy a leisurely breakfast while savoring the last moments of your safari adventure. After breakfast, you'll take some time to pack your belongings and soak in the beautiful surroundings one last time.
You will then begin your journey back to Nairobi, taking approximately 5 to 6 hours. As you travel, you'll enjoy the scenic drive and reflect on the unforgettable experiences you’ve had during your time in the Masai Mara. Upon arrival in Nairobi, your guide will assist you with any onward travel arrangements, ensuring a smooth and pleasant departure.

1. Bookings /reservations policy
All bookings/reservations are made through Email for the purposes of referencing.
All booking vouchers are sent via email tour client for their reference
All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 3-4 business days.
All confirmed bookings should be confirmed with a 50% deposit to secure reservations.
The balance is paid 7 days before travel to allow us to clear with our suppliers on time.
Late reservations and modifications will attract a fee to secure reservations imposed on us by our suppliers.
2. Travelers name
All travelers/visitors are responsible to ensure their names match their passport/Id card names.
3. Inclusions/Exclusions
All inclusions on the tour package cover’s hotel service charges, Meal plan, transport(air/rail), entry & park fees, sightseeing, game drives as shown on each of the itinerary.
The Shades of Africa Travel ltd reserves the right to modify the tour arrangements for smooth operation of the tour.
The tour package doesn’t include items of personal nature, tips, gratuities.
4. Ticketing policy
All airfares or Train tickets are offered as a portion of our tour prices. These fares are subject to change without notice and on certain peak periods may not be available.
Air ticket cancellation subject airlines/Trian penalties and handing fee
All tickets for children are subject to Airline/train rules and regulations.
5. Child policy
Child above 12yrs of age sharing with 2 adults will be charged 50% of adult rate.
Children on own room sharing pay 75% of adult rate.
The company provides child seats on our fleet of vehicles on request.
6. Transport Policy
All our tour packages have included transport which is done by our fleet of vehicles

All our fleets are fully registered with the regulatory bodies.
7. Cost/Price
All our tour packages are customized as per the client request and are packaged in regards to seasons/destinations.

All Prices are subject to 16% VAT.
8. Payment
Payment is required by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) or by cash transfer to the Shades of Africa Travel Ltd Bank Account, cheques, and pre-paid credit cards. Third parties may pre pay/credit or debit card presented at the start of the engagement must always be in the name of the traveler booking the tour package. Vouchers cannot be transferred, ie the person named on the voucher as the traveler must be the person reserves the booking.
9. Cancellation Policy:
Notice of cancellation must be made in writing to Shades of Africa Travel Ltd and the following scale of cancellation fees will be applied.
NOTE: Shades of Africa travel reserves the right to accept or decline any passenger or any trip should that person physical or mental condition impede the operation of the tour or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other tour.
